New Release: Mantra (Collab with XavaleX) – Deep Tech

I am stoked to present to you my last release of 2025, Mantra. It’s my first collaboration track, and it was quite fun working with Geneva DJ, XavaleX! Mantra (and it’s special Resync Version) is available on BandCamp. Listen to it below:

The Track and the Inspiration

Mantra is a driving deep tech track with a steady, subby bass and a strong lead played on a koto. The track also features time-warping tempo play during the main breakdown, but the Resync Version (available optionally) condenses tempo play breakdown into a neat, beatgrid-friendly eight-bar segment.

This track came about when XavaleX messaged me shortly after I released Good Luck Charm on Lacréta Records. We had been corresponding for some time by then — we are fans of each others’ work — and XavaleX linked me to a sketch of a track. I liked what I was hearing and asked what he planned to do with it. He said he was stuck on it and asked if I would be interested in picking up where he was and completing it. It didn’t need a whole lot — many of the ideas were solid and already there. It just needed some arrangement and a good mixing.

So I said sure! I was just finishing up with the Bang tracks, so the timing worked out as well. I worked out a draft and after a little back and forth, we had our track! The Resync Version (available optionally on BandCamp) was XavaleX’s idea. I don’t tend to cater to beatgrids if I have a wonky idea, but I think it’s a good bonus version for DJs who don’t want to have to worry about time shifts or splitting grids.

Dig the new music, y’all — see you in cyberspace!
